One of eBay’s Fake Flash victims created a neat visual guide after reporting his fake to SOSFakeFlash. It is a wonderful example for anyone interested in repairing a fake flash drive and seeing how the tools work before trying to carry out a repair. Even if you don’t have an AMECO or Micov based controller chip on your fake flash drive, it can help you prepare. Many reflashing tools are similar in their interface and the general principals to operate.

you will see the controller chip part number there. It’s AMECO based. To get the most recent software I suggest using the post:
go down to
AMECO MXT6208/MXT8208 UDiskTools 1.0.4.6 (20081010)
click on it to take you to the download site with translation into english and download the tool. You should also review the first link above and visit the visual example guide put up by another victim at another side so you have an idea how these tools work.

I have several SD Flash Card memories that are hacked, until now, I haven’t found anything to fix them, Does anybody know how or where to do this?

I have also looked for tools to reflash memory cards. I have not found any tools compariable to the repair tools that work on USB drive.
I suspect the fake / hacked memory cards are created using a specialised flashing / programming device (not USB based)

kingston dt310…how to format
June 23, 2012…The format will be exFAT (Extended File Allocation Table).
Windows XP will require Update for Windows XP KB955704 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=19364) to manage exFAT formatted drives.
Download and install it. A reboot is required.
Then open Control Panel,
click on System,
click on Hardware tab,
click on Device Manager,
scroll to IDE/ATAP/Controllers,
left click +,
scroll to and right click Secondary IDE Channel,
left click on Properties,
click on Advanced Properties,
there will be displayed a Device 0 and a Device 1.
in Device 1, select Transfer Mode and select PIO Only.
click OK.
left click My Computer, select the DT310 (it will probably be listed as Removable Disk)
and right click it and select Format.
click Start in the format window.
That’s It.
Now you can use the flash memory like any other memory.
